Bunga Citra Lestari or known as BCL (her initial) is a soap opera / drama actress who succeed to be a singer and later also take another stages as movie actress. Her music career begun to be serious from took collaboration with local band then followed by recording a movie soundtrack, "Saat kau Pergi". These soundtrack officially be her first solo singles and gained attention by public and fans for her soft, smooth, deeper and characteristic vocal. It's giving her more confidence to gave birth of her first major album, 'Cinta Pertama'. Released on 2006, with some singles such as 'Cinta Pertama' (which being the soundtrack in same titled movie) and 'Tak Mau Sendiri', all was a successful, bringing her name into next famous female singer in Indonesia. In the next year, she confirmed to release two new singles, "Mengapa Harus Terjadi" which are also used for movie soundtrack that she had starred too and a duo collaboration with top male solo singer Ari Lasso in 'Aku dan Dirimu'. Both, again and again, were in good result and valued by won awards. A statement that shows her existence in music industry. In 2008, her second studio album "Tentang Kamu" was released, by still following the same formula. Tentang Kamu and Pernah Muda got a warm welcome from fans. In this year, she starred in some movies which one of them, starring together with her husband, Ashraf Sinclair. In 2010, BCL doing another romantic duo collaborations with famous Philippines singer, Christian Bautista with song 'Kau Tetap di Hatiku' which is a remake of Please Be Careful With My Heart from Christian Bautista's 6th albums Romance Revisited that original sung and released in his country. In 2013, BCl plays as main important heroine on 'Habibie and Ainun' movies, which told about the legendary couple love story from 3rd Indonesian President, Mr. Ir. BJ Habibie and his wife, Mrs. Ainun Habibie. The movie itself is well apraised and made good sales, including her contribution for the soundtrack by singing 'Cinta Sejati'. Before that, she released the third album, The Best of BCL, which listing all hit singles into one precious record. In 2014, she's back with new single, KuasaMu which describing the faithfulness. Describing her vocal, it's personage, specific and within intersection of smooth and thick toned, while, somehow it has more presence in ballad song.

In my personal opinion, this is her best album so far. Entire songs are enjoyable. An album that really gives 'cinta pertama / first love' feeling to her music.
