If you open this post by chance, or better yet, just because you noticed the name of a pop legend, Michael Bolton taking a part in Immortal Song, believe me, there is no coincidence like how I was coincidentally falling in love with this show! For you who doesn't know what kind of this program about, it's more likely a live-singing show in contest concept. The singers who participated here came from all over the place, be it idols, indie musician, lesser known artist/singers and they can be different every episodes indeed sometimes appears as regulars though not always in consecutive episode. Different from any shows which can used to promotes the singer by singing their own song or singles, Immortal Song only gave a life by letting the audience to acknowledge the singers musicality, so it's really need a real confidence of singing skills. The singers are mostly singing the legend songs from Korean legendary singers who also coming as a honored guest, if they still living, to giving opinion or commented to the performances such how well the new arrangement, how well the singers can interpret the soul of those songs and able to brought new atmosphere. While about 500 audience would be the judge, gives their vote to decide who are singing most likable (rather than said the best), it's all fair, either competitive since the singers soon getting more pressure to be able to show their best effort and emotion in same stage. As a show, Immortal Song introduced us to Korean old songs and their legends, for it was good to not always stuck into mainstream Kpop nowadays and noticed another gem that noteworthy shines in such chance. Another thing, it have been so long aired but never ever fails to impress us, and me, for I'm used to be wowed for their amazing performances and hilarious conversations of every singers and secondary hosts in the waiting room. And no, no, no.. you don't even needed a translation of Korean languages while watching those performances, once your jaws dropped somehow you able to connected. Well, it's a music, right? The same reason how a legend like Michael Bolton could be there. Not just enjoying his special episode, he even found out himself speechless! Can you imagine him said something like spectacular, phenomenal in the end of the show? Both him and all the participate singers such Ailee, Sistar's Hyorin, Jay Park, Lena Park, So Hyang, Moon Myung Jin and Seo Ji Ahn were filled with honored feelings to meet each others. To being in such emotional and nervous to meet an inspiration made the stage is somehow extravaganza.
